HexDigest is a market-intelligence product: daily public trackers and licensed datasets compiled from public marketplace listings on Gumroad, the Chrome Web Store, the Shopify App Store, Product Hunt, and Glama.
Is HexDigest a web scraping API?
No. HexDigest does not sell proxies, browser farms, or a scrape-anything API. It sells compiled marketplace catalogs. For infrastructure, see Bright Data, Zyte, Oxylabs, Apify, ScrapingBee, or Firecrawl.
Which marketplaces are tracked today?
Gumroad, the Chrome Web Store, the Shopify App Store, Product Hunt, and Glama. Each has a public tracker and a licensed full export. More platforms are on the roadmap.
What formats do the licensed datasets use?
CSV, JSONL, and Parquet. Every purchase includes all three. See the dataset catalog.
Can I reuse the data commercially?
Yes. Licensed exports are sold for commercial re-use. The public trackers are a bounded preview for discovery.
How is this different from Similarweb or Prisync?
Similarweb estimates traffic. Prisync and Price2Spy monitor competitor SKU prices for retailers. HexDigest catalogs public marketplace listings — products, apps, extensions, ratings, and published prices.
How often is the data refreshed?
Daily. History is stored as a dated observation each time a listing is crawled.
